Step Up, Florida! 2010 Challenge

The Pinellas County health department, and local partners, schools and worksites will host the seventh annual “Step up Florida, Leap into Healthy Living” event throughout the month of March to bring attention to the critical need to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Cities and organizations will be competing in a physical activity challenge throughout March 2010 as part of the statewide campaign that promotes physical activity and healthy lifestyles for Florida residents and visitors of all abilities. All you need to participate is an email address and the willingness to have your city or organization be a winner!

Participants will record their progress with the help of a basic pedometer or by using the activity conversion calculator that will be located on the website. Cities and organizations can challenge each other to create a little “healthy competition.” Please return to this website on March 1 st to register to compete in the Step Up, Florida Challenge.

Step Up, Florida Challenge 2010 will run March 1 st through March 31 st.
