HIV/AIDS Program
The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)

ADAP helps HIV positive people stay healthy by assisting with the purchase of HIV prescription medications. ADAP provides HIV medications for people who do not have private health insurance, qualify for Medicaid, or are awaiting Medicaid eligibility. The formulary has 69 medications to treat diseases and complications associated with HIV disease.

To enroll in ADAP you must:

  • Have proof of HIV status
  • Have assets not in excess of $12,000
  • Income <300% Federal Poverty Level

 Persons are not eligible if they are:

  • In institutional care
  • Have Medicaid or private insurance
  • Have assets in excess of $12,000
  • Income >300% Federal Poverty Level

  • Letter of Eligibility
OR
  • Proof of Income (last 3 months)
  • Proof of Assets (last 6 months of bank statements)
  • Documentation of HIV+ status
  • Proof of living in Florida
AND
  • Current CD4 and viral load test results (< 4 months old)
  • Current prescriptions (<6 months old)
